Reintegration can be stated as an action or a process of integrating someone back into society. According to John Braithwaite, Reintegration refers to reaccepting the offender into the community, emphasizing their potential for change and rehabilitation. As a society, it is our responsibility to help offenders reintegrate into society. In this study, the authors will focus on the importance of the social support needed for the released offender by family and friends throughout the reintegration process. The study also aims to understand the youth’s attitude towards reintegration. The authors used mixed methods in this study, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, to enhance our research. The authors have used both interview methods for released offenders and a structured questionnaire for youth, with a sample size of 104 using a random sampling method, which will help us to enhance our research. From this study, the authors were able to understand the role of family and friends in a successful reintegration.
