Zeel Mangukiya and Tulsi Mangukiya

Abstract:

This paper proposes a novel strategic framework to help social startups in resource-constrained regions effectively align their missions with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recognizing that traditional business models often fail to address local complexities, the study emphasizes context-sensitive approaches, stakeholder engagement, and adaptable scaling strategies. By analyzing case studies and synthesizing best practices, the framework offers actionable guidance on designing inclusive, financially viable, and socially impactful ventures. Key components include community co-creation, impact measurement, partnership development, and resource optimization. The research highlights barriers such as limited financing, infrastructural gaps, and policy constraints, proposing strategies to mitigate these challenges through collaborative innovation and hybrid financing models. The findings aim to empower social entrepreneurs to create sustainable solutions tailored to their unique contexts while advancing SDG targets. This work contributes to the literature on social enterprise strategy by providing a structured yet flexible playbook adaptable to diverse settings. It also offers policymakers and development agencies a practical tool to support entrepreneurship ecosystems in underserved regions.
